Bulbous Buttercup | Buttercup family |
Ranunculus bulbosus | Ranunculaceae |
Bulbous Buttercup is the earliest buttercup to flower, and is found on lime-rich grasslands.
The whole plant is poisonous, with sap that can blister the skin.
It is similar to the Meadow and Creeping Buttercups. The main difference from the
Meadow Buttercup is that Bulbous Buttercup has slightly larger flowers,
a grooved stem, and may have reflexed sepals.
