Annual, up to 50 cm tall Basal leaves deeply 3-lobed, with divided lobes: similar to celery leaves. Stem leaves short-stalked and more divided. Flowers: 5 yellow petals, shorter than the sepals; flowers 5-10mm across in loose branched clusters Fruits: Many achenes in an elongated cylindrical head Flowering time: May-August Habitat: Muddy places, such as edges of ponds or ditches Distribution: Common throughout England and Wales |
