Wood Anemones grow in open woodland and hedgerows and flowers in spring.
It spreads by means of a creeping rhizome, so can form extensive colonies in woods.
The flower has 6 white sepals (not petals) and has no nectar: it is pollinated
by bees and pollen-eating flies.
