Cuckoo-flower (Lady's Smock) Cabbage family
Cardamine pratensis Cruciferae (Brassicaceae)

Cuckoo-flower (or Lady's Smock) is a showy white or pale lilac flower of marshes, damp meadows and woodland. Its name comes from the fact that it flowers in May at around the time when the Cuckoo starts to sing. It is the main flowering plant for the Orange Tip butterfly.
There is also a double-flowered variant which may be found in the wild.
