Corn Spurrey generally grows on arable and waste ground. Its small white flowers only open for a few hours each day, and emit an unpleasant smell. Its long narrow leaves are arranged in a whorl around the stem and have grooves underneath. The stems and calyx are covered with sticky hairs.
