Nodding Bur-marigold Daisy family
Bidens cernua Asteraceae (Compositae)

Nodding Bur-marigold is an uncommon flower of damp places, especially those which flood in winter. The flowers heads are nodding, and usually consist just of disc florets (only occasionally with ray florets), surrounded by a ring of leaf-like bracts. The achenes have barbed spines on their tops to catch on clothing and fur, aiding seed dispersal.
