Common Figwort can be found alongside streams and rivers and in damp places
throughout most of Britain.
It had medicinal uses such as healing wounds and treating skin complaints.
It differs from the Water Figwort
by having an unwinged square stem, pointed leaves, and a scarcely-visible white calyx border.
