Stachys palustris | Labiatae/Lamiaceae |
An erect, creeping summer-flowering plant of damp places, it has very showy dark pink flowers with white markings when viewed close-up. It is similar to Hedge Woundwort, but has pink flowers, unstalked leaves and hollow stems. The name 'woundwort' comes from its use to staunch wounds.
