Norway Maple Maple family
Acer platanoides Aceraceae

Norway Maple is an introduced tree which can reach up to 30 metres in height. It is often planted in parks, as its red leaves form a great show in autumn.
It differs from the Field Maple by having leaves with sharp points. The flowers are similar, although more yellowy-green in colour, and come out earlier, appearing before the leaves.
In autumn the leaves turn yellow and orange.
